In this VETgirl online veterinary continuing education video, Amanda M. Shelby, RVT, VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia) demonstrates how to obtain a non-invasive blood pressure using a Doppler, blood pressure cuff and sphygmomanometer in dogs and cats. Blood pressure is an important vital to obtain as part of the physical examination of conscious patients (particularly in those with cardiac disease, endocrine disease, renal disease, etc.) and should be routinely monitored in sedated or anesthetized patients.
