In this VETgirl online veterinary continuing education video, Dr. Chris Ralphs, DACVS at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists reviews a traumatic temporomandibular joint (TMJ) luxation case in a cat. When in doubt, you need to know how to reduce a TMJ luxation. TMJ luxations are often seen secondary to trauma (such as a hit by car, high-rise syndrome, etc.) in the veterinary ER. In this video, Dr. Ralphs demonstrates how to non-surgically reduce cases of a deviated jaw in a feline veterinary patient with something as simple as a pen or pencil!

Please note: At the 0:51 minute mark, Dr. Chris Ralphs, DACVS said the jaw was deviated to the left, but he meant deviated to the right.
