  1. This was excellent – so many tips and tricks about the finer points of each drug! I feel much more comfortable “dabbling” with different pre-medication protocols now vs using a canned one and being stressed about what happens if…. Thank you!

  2. I am curious, if it may be answered here, what common pre-medication combos are used in geriatric patients? I realize they are more-so case specific. I ask this as my clinic does not carry midazolam, which doesn’t leave me with a lot to use aside from opioids IM. We have acepromazine, but I admit I have grown less interested in using acepromazine given its hypotensive effects and such. Any thoughts on what else I could use for pre-meds specific to geriatric patients with an opioid? I will be interested in looking into midazolam
